Dr. Shannah Duffy was born in San Diego, CA, but moved to Brunswick, ME, her hometown, at a young age. She grew up with 2 goofy Boxer dogs and 2 cats and spent her free time riding trails with her Arabian mare. She was an active member of her undergraduate University’s farm and enjoyed riding their retired Standardbred racehorses, milking cows, and tending to a flock of Icelandic sheep. She spent school breaks volunteering for animal shelters and low-cost veterinary care clinics or working at local small animal veterinary clinics. Dr. Duffy received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at the University of Maine and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University.
Dr. Duffy is passionate about forming strong relationships with her clients and patients in order to provide the best medicine possible. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and shelter medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Duffy enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and playing lacrosse or pickleball. Her time indoors is best spent with her cat, Ollie, caring for her many houseplants, and weightlifting.
